Movie review on Naadi Dosh :

I was watching the movie naadi dosh on Sunday afternoon,  expecting a simple romantic family drama to relax my mind, but Naadi Dosh turned out to be a deeply emotional and socially relevant film that stayed with me long after it ended, making me reflect on the balance between love and tradition in modern Indian society.

This movie is directed by Krishndev Yagnik and produced by Nilay Chotai and its main cast actors are Yash Soni , Janki Bodiwala and Ranuaq Kamdar and music by kedar bhargav . In this movie Yash Soni delivers a sincere and emotionally grounded performance as a young man caught between family expectations and true love, while Janki Bodiwala shines with expressive acting that adds depth and realism to her character, making the audience truly feel her emotional journey, and together their chemistry feels natural and heartwarming.

Director Krishnadev Yagnik handles the sensitive subject with maturity and balance, presenting both traditional and modern perspectives respectfully and the music by Kedar Bhargav enhances the emotional intensity of the story with soothing and meaningful melodies, while the cinematography captures Gujarati culture, family gatherings, and traditional settings with warmth and authenticity, giving the film a relatable and homely atmosphere.

The movie Naadi Dosh  revolves around two young individuals, Riddhi and Kevin, who fall deeply in love and decide to get married, believing their bond is strong enough to face any challenge, but their happiness is shaken when their families discover that according to traditional Hindu astrology, their horoscopes show “Naadi Dosh,” a mismatch that is believed to bring serious problems and misfortune into married life, and this belief becomes the core conflict that tests their love, trust, patience, and courage to stand against societal pressure.

The film beautifully portrays the emotional struggle between following long-standing traditions and choosing personal happiness, showing how deeply cultural beliefs influence Indian marriages while also questioning whether blind faith should decide the future of two people who genuinely love each other.

While watching Naadi Dosh, I felt emotionally connected because the theme of horoscope matching and family pressure is something many Indian families can relate to, and there were moments where I felt frustrated seeing how rigid beliefs could almost break a beautiful relationship, but at the same time I appreciated how the film portrayed hope, understanding, and the courage to question outdated customs without disrespecting culture. The movie left me thoughtful and emotionally satisfied, reminding me that love deserves a fair chance beyond fear and superstition.

Why you should watch this movie : you should watch this movie ‘Naadi Dosh’ because it is more than just a romantic drama it is a meaningful exploration of love versus tradition, because it offers strong and natural performances, because it celebrates Gujarati culture beautifully, and because it encourages important conversations about whether astrology and societal pressure should control life-changing decisions like marriage.

Afterall Naadi Dosh is a heartfelt and socially relevant Gujarati romantic drama that combines love, tradition, emotion, and reflection in a beautifully balanced way, making it one of the memorable films in contemporary Gujarati cinema.
